"Im a force instructor for my department and i couldn't be happier with these pants. I wear them all day and haven't torn them yet. Extremely light and worth every penny. I will use them on duty and off duty....Great camping pants."

"I'm a Private Contractor deployed in Iraq. Taclite Pro pants are light weight, well built, and hold up to the tough demands in this hot/hostile environment. "this is my second pair of tactical pants, the first from 5.11, and i really am impressed. i love the lightweight fabric, very durable, and great looks. i wear these for outdoor and everyday use and can say they have great stain resistance. the fit is great, i ordered a waist size up and after washing, they fit perfect!

my next pair of tactical pants will be 5.11 taclites!!"

"Over my 30 year career, I have tried every tactical uniform made for both the military or law enforcement. Since using the 511 at the Miami Dade Police Department, I have decided to buy several pairs for when I retire. Thats what I think of the product."

beware of grass

"as a lot of guys said before great pants, it got hot again and i know why i bought these pants in nearly every color !
light, in my case very comfy even after a whole day running and sweating , plenty of space, so i never find what i am search for ;), love the small extra pocket and look forward to get my first shorts similar style soon

only one point disappointed me a bit, i wear the Tac Pro in Coyote and had a field excercise in a nearby field, stains from dirt, trees and grass all over !
and i can`t get the grass stains out !?
same happend with my Tundra colored one :(

guess i have to buy one more in Coyote as i love to wear them for leisure as well"

Wow! These pants are impressive!

"These aren't your typical BDU's! They are light weight, very comfortable and take a beating. I cant tell you how much I have spilled on these pants and not a stain can be seen. They offer pockets right where you need them and where they dont interfere with any of your gear! After this discovery, I wont where anything else!"

Good. but LOOK OUT

"Okay, overall they're great. Great fit, great design, everyone seems to think so.

However, I find that the cloth they've used for these pants makes my legs itchy after a day or two of wear. These are the only pants that have ever caused my legs to itch. So if you're sensitive and tend to get itchy skin from certain materials, stick to the cotton ones or get a really large pair of these to minimize contact."

Quality Control

"Value/Overall: Quality control... first pair I bought, right leg knife pocket is long (correct length), the next two pairs I can't fit a beeper in the pocket.
Fit: Length is shorter than normal Tactical Pants.
Durability: Phenomenal fabric durability, after days of wearing the same pair in dirt/grim/muck they come clean and look new."

Perfect Pant for Hot Weather Work

"For those of us that are either required to wear a pant, or simply choose to wear a pant, this is by far the best choice on the market for tactical hot weather gear. I wear these pants every day I am on duty, and usually when I am not on duty. These pants are light and cool enough to use in the Texas heat, and yet professional enough to wear in any situation. I have yet to wrinkle these pants, and the color has stayed just as vibrant and good looking as the day I opened the package. Excellent choice for casual, range, or office wear. Probably just as good a choice for uniform wear if your department allows it."

"I bought these for personal use and they have been good so far. The cut is great, very comfortable! The pockets were well thought out, nice work 5.11. I decided to go with the TacLite's because of hot weather, glad I did so! The nylon wicks well and keeps me comfortable all day!"

worth the purchase

"I bought these POLYESTER/COTTON pants (khaki) about 4 years ago and wear them for work and camping. The material is durable and lightweight. It makes the pants very comfortable, doesn't weigh you down doesn't keep you hot when hiking. I purchased another pair (green) to wear with my Scout troop. The knees are reinforced and now several of the adults in the Troop are getting them. Lots of pockets for carrying extra hiking gear. The stitching is very durable and they hold up very well to wear and tear. So far my best purchase from 511. An excellent buy."
