The replacement for Dockers

"These are very durable pants that fit well, look like normal khakis with some nice features like mag pockets (I use mine for a folder) and hidden seam pockets. Found that I needed a longer belt because the waistband is thicker due to doubled elastic waistband.

Wish they came in black, green and taupe. Own oak and walnut."

"These pants were offered in the clearance shop. This shouldn't discourage you from buying them though as they are really nice, quality pants. Been buying 5.11 products for years and these pants definitely are up to their standards and the price was great!"

Awesome Pants

"I've had a pair for a while now and they're amazing! Great look and wonderful feel. They feel "solid." My other Khakis feel insubstantial next to these - and its great.
"Disappointed" should probably look into getting a different cleaner. I wash and dry mine at home with no problems whatsoever (bachelor washing is notoriously harsh on clothes)."

"If there's one regret I have about the Covert Khaki, it's that I didn't buy it sooner. These pants are amazing! Great fit, very comfortable. Initially I was thinking I might have to put my magazines in the magpockets first then put the pants on, but I was quickly proven wrong, my 1911 mags slid right in with ease while I was wearing the pants. Definitely a great buy, it's a great product a bit expensive but worth every penny. I'm sure to pick up several more."

Disappointed

"I intially bought one pair and they worked out so well I bought two more. They fit well and looked good and provided the casual look while carrying that I needed. However after a trip or two to the cleaners the buttons either fell apart or came off. The pocket zippers froze and subsequently broke while trying to get them to operate again. Also the pressing machines wore holes on the outside of the pockets above the zippers. I love 5.11 products and that's all I use nad supply teams with. This was very disappointing for a product with plenty of potential. Definately a poor execution of the right idea."

best fittin pants ever

"because im a big guy its hard to find pants that are fitted for me.
511 clothing on the whole fit very vell. the pants size is superior to any other pants i have ever owned. the seat/waist/ and inseam has always been on the money. its like someone my size exactly was measured for my clothes that i have ordered.
the quality of material used is also very special. its soft and durable. I love my 511 clothing.

"Covert Business Attire - I work in an IT office and the "usual" khakis that I am required to wear don't hold up to a high side kick - which has caused an early rush home on occasion. The Covert Khakis allow me to practice my Yun Tung on breaks without worrying about a sudden ripping sound. Plus all the pockets and sub-pockets are awesome."

"They fit great, have plenty of pockets and can hide lots of things. One thing would make them better, and inside the waist holster pocket for the weapon. The concealed magazine pockets are great, but openings are smaller then the pockets, making fast extraction a problem. Fit and feel is great, I like them better then jeans or the Taclite Pro’s. The buttons are secure, but thread feels like its ready to give. A snap and a button would have been better. Surprisingly they are even comfortable in triple digit weather."

Better than Dockers!!!

"I found these at a local uniform shop in Tucson. I bought them for an upcoming training seminar. I was not disappointed! These casual pants fit better than Dockers and are by far better made. They looked professional and the extra pockets really were useful."

"I bought the walnut color pants. After about ten washings the thread holding both waist buttons unraveled requiring a repair before continued use. The overall design and comfort are well thought out. I'm a fan of 511 products. This is my first disappointment."

Excellent pants

"The extra pockets are handy, though the zippered ones on the side should be bigger inside. Ends up being a cell phone pocket. Suggest you offer these in a choice of low, medium, and high rise so people who wear their pistol on their belt (as opposed to a separate pistol belt over the clothing) can have it where they like it on their body. It rides a little high with the current cut."

"Well I thought these would be a great alternative to the traditional 5.11 pant that we all love and wear. So I bought one in each color. Their ok, the fit is a bit off for me, a little to loose and baggy. I am 5'8", on a good day, with short stocky legs if that gives you any idea how loose they are. The side zip pocket isn't very parctical for me. And the magazine pockets in the pocket dont hold Glock mags very well, metal Sig mags and 1911 mags fit and are accessed well. This would be a very good pant in a semi casual setting where you needed to conceal a knife and a few mags at about the 30,000' altitude level."

All Around Best

"These pants are comfortable at all times, both standing and sitting. They have lots of neat pockets for stuff (real men carry lots of stuff)and do not show bulges when used for covert carry. Also, the tuxedo waist makes for exceptional comfort.

I wear mine all the time for everything but really formal occasions. Let's face it, a guy can cover about 95% of all occasions with these pants and a blue blazer.

Indispensible!"

Better than Expected

"I bought one to try out, and ended up buying a couple more in different colors.
Durable, reasonably wind proof, and comfortable to wear. The seat on the pants is larger than on a conventional chino (making your seat look more ample than it is), and they ride higher on the hips, but this makes them more comfortable to sit or drive in, as well as allow greater freedom of movement.
The big win with these pants is the pocket layout and their durability. The cotton is smooth and feels first rate, is non-iron so it comes out of the dryer it's ready to wear, and magazine pockets are very useful for all sorts of odds and sods. The pocket bottoms are doubled up too, to prevent keys and change from wearing through the bottom of the pocket prematurely.
The drawback is that the darker colors (oak, and especially the brown) do fade with washings, but just about all cotton garments do this."

Excellent Product

"I recently wore these during a two day shooting course. The waste band makes them very comfortable and allows for easy IWB carry. The hidden thigh pockets provided easy access to magazines for tactical reloads when I was kneeling and shoot from cover. The knees did not pick up any grass stains. There are no loose threads or other problems. With magazines loaded in the front "mag" pocket, there is a lot less conceal ability from the side or rear. I fixed this by untucking my shirt. Overall, better than I expected. Covert Khakis are worth it."

"I work in an fast paced hotel and when a hurricane or another crisis comes I can take off my suit and still look professional in front of my guest. whats makes it even better is I am able to carry my nessasary tools and equipment with out the guest being any wiser."

Simple Effective and Classy

"These are great pants that are effect pair of pants with many functions and a classy look. I own two pair and plan on purchasing more. The only issue I have had was the zipper on the lower leg concealed pocket seems weak. Over all I love these pants."
