"I live in Northern Canada, above the 60th parallel. Temperatures around -40 are common here. I can say that these pants withstood everything without problem. Wearing them with thermal underwear, I can be out in the cold for hours. The stitching is top notch, I've been using 5.11 gear for almost 18 months now and nothing ever failed me.
I wish they came in different colors also - when this happens I'll be the first to buy them. Hey 5.11, there are law officers here too that could benefit from these pants in black..."

"These are the best pants I have ever bought! Since I bought them over a month ago, I have worn them almost every day, including weekends. I ride a Harley 35 miles to work everyday, even in freezing weather, and these pants along with my leathers and thermal underwear keep me warm on the bike and in the unheated metal building where I spend most of the day. The pants are very comfortable even when bending or kneeling, and the double thickness at the knees and back and the thick canvas fabric give you a feeling of protection from accidental injury or scrapes. I have since bought an unlined pair for summer use and another flannel lined pair for daily use. They look good too!"

"It was 19 degrees this morning in MN and I put on my new pair of Lined Tactical Pants for some outside projects. My legs were nice and warm, but not too hot when I went inside for a while. Another incredible product! THANKS 5.11!"

"I just bought a pair of these last night from a local retailer. Today it got down to 12 degrees below zero and these pants have kept me warm all day while on patrol. I pulled a guy over this morning for a traffic violation, and he said to me as I handed him his ticket, "I didn't think you would pull me over with it this cold today." I told him, "it's never too cold to do my job sir. Have a nice day, and slow it down." Thanks to my new 5.11 Tactical Flannel Lined Pants, I was able to say it without my teeth chattering."

"Just when I thought the 5.11 tactical pant couldn't get any better, these come along. I freeze all winter long, and these pants feel awesome. I'm already addicted to 5.11, so if these are offered in other colors soon, I will probably need to file bankruptcy!"

"Great pants originally and now even better with the flannel liner! Perfect for range work or anything else that requires an extra layer of warmth. You can forgo the long johns with these pants! The soft flannel liner makes them super comfortable when the winter months take hold. I plan on purchasing more of them but I do agree with the previous author, more colors are needed. I'd also like to see them in the 5.11 jeans as well."

"The only thing I think it's important to mention here is that while they're identical to their non-flannel counterparts, they are missing the compartments in the knees for the neoprene.
I wear these on the motorcycle in 20F or so weather, and they're fine, although items in the outer pockets will freeze (so mind things like pens or foodstuffs). They're also pretty good in the rain, as they both protect from the wind and they're thick enough that you don't feel soaked.
With the non-flannel pants, I use aftermarket replacement motorcycle armor to put in the knee compartments, and was saddened to see that these would be warm, but much less safe."

"I absolutely love the regular tactical pants. With the addition of the flannel it makes them better. I have always looked for pants that were casual and warm. In the past I have had to put on long johns, or something of that sort. Now I don't have to. Now they just need to make them in other colors, so I can wear them when on duty. It's getting colder, and working Grave shift doesn't make it any warmer. Please 5.11 make them in Black."
