NYLON Original 5.11 Tactical Pant

"Years ago I used to go backpacking and mounain climbing, which is a very demanding application. I started wearing technical type cargo pants that were made from very light materials to keep the weight down, increase breathability and would dry quickly! The 5.11 pant has virtually all of those features without sacrificing durability and they look more civilized than trail/mountaineering gear.
I purchased the 100% nylon version after falling in love with the 100% cotton original 5.11's. I wanted a summer time pant that gave me all of the features that I came to expect; pockets eveywhere, good placement of belt loops, reinforced pocket edge for knife clip and overall durability.
This particular pair of 5.11's was my third 5.11 pant purchase. I also own TDU's, Original cotton Tactical pant, and 2 TacLite Pro's, and a variety of loose fit crew shirts. These nylons probably get worn the most because they are tougher than nails and still look sharp.
I use them for competetive shooting, to business attire and to church on occasion. I think the nylon version runs a little tighter fit than any of the others mentioned, which are all the same size. This pair, of my 5.11 assortment, is chosen to meet the needs of the day over 50% of the time.

"These pants are probably the most comfortable Military/Law Enforcement Bottoms available, They don't tear ridiculously like ACU Pants And are lighter than most but have extreme comfort, and the knee pads are a great bonus and don't make you uncomfortable in normal situations. Great product will more than likely purchase more!"

"I've worn these pants since shortly after they hit the market. They are comfortable and last. The only problem I have ever had with these pants is blowing out in between the legs. This has since been re-designed and my last "accident" was over a year ago. Great product!"

"I have been wearing the 5.11 brand for a long time now. I find the nylon version of the Tactical pant to be much better than the cotton version. The nylon version has minimal fading and is as comfortable as the cotton version. Easy to wash and wear."

"I purchased a pair to wear to the range, they look great and fit well. They take the punishment of running, jumping and kneeling and keep on going. The pockets are deep holding gloves, magazines, spare ammo and other items securely. The price is awesome and i even wear them off duty (My girlfriend loves to see me in them....enough said. When the chicks dig them that is worth thier weight in gold."

Nylon 5.11 Tactical -even better then cotton

"I have at least 6 pairs of these cotton pants and now 5 pair of the nylon. Two pair are stained too bad to wear to work anymore (remove ball-point pens before washing) two are my primary dress down work pants, and one (fire blue) I wear when I work part-time as a medic. I can't wait for dress down or field days at work so that I can wear my 5.11s. I would wear them every day in the office if I could. They are very comfortable, durable, and the elastic waist band is great for when I put a little weight (like during the holidays). I tend to wear out other pants at the pockets, especially if I clip my knife on the pocket. That is not a problem with my 5.11 Tactical pants. Cotton pants are a little heavier for cooler weather. The nylon pants are best for warmer weather. Dark colors tend to fade in cotton, but that has not been a problem in the nylon. The nylon pants tend to be a little more narrow in the hips then the cotton. Great pants!"

"I've had a pair of the nylons in dark navy for a couple months now. They're much cooler in the heat than the cotton pants, and fit nicely. Some other guys I've talked to have noted that the cotton versions of these had notoriously small between-the-legs areas which would put you in a 'bind', if you will. The nylons don't seem to have that problem. If I had to deduct any points for them it would be only because I'd like to see a rubber band inside the waistband to keep your shirt tucked in like traditional uniform pants. Other than that, I love them."

"I'm not in Law Enforcement, but I wear these Tactical 5.11 Nylon Men's pants or their cotton cousins everyday. They are very comfortable, look sharp for casual business wear, and have plenty of pockets! I've tried cheaper pants and blue jeans and some not so cheaper. None of them compare to Tactical 5.11's. I highly recommend not only the pants, but all Tactical 5.11 products for their quality and value."

"I use these pants for a variety of uses, I've played paintball in them which is a real test of durability for a pant as they need to be comfortable for quick burst of sprinting and then be able to hold up to heavy slides or dives. I've also used these pants on numerous scout outings and the optional kneepads are a lifesaver when you are hanging on a cliff face for a couple of hours teaching young scouts the right form for rappelling."

"I love the pants. Fit if great. All the pockets are useful. I noticed the waist button came off the first week I work the pants. It was not stitched in well. The front cell phone pocket is a little small-- could be a little wider, pricey."

"My company requires us to wear these pants, and I think they are great. I find that they are very comfortable, hold a lot of stuff, and are very rugged. When buying these pants I would highly recommend getting the nylon ones as they are very slow to fade, and the cotton ones fade very fast. My wife says the only problem with these pants is that they make a mans butt look funny."
