"i was glad to find high quality nylon shorts, especially gargo shorts with belt loops. the material weight and construction are very good and i like having the magazine pocket. overall i am more than pleased with these shorts and will buy another pair expecting them to last quite a long time. two things i would prefer are: 1) more room in the seat and crotch and, 2) buttons on the pockets instead of velcro. these are not deal breakers but would improve a very good product."

"Very nice pair of shorts for relaxing in style, staying cool in hot weather, and great for outdoors like hiking and canoeing. Only wish short were a little bit longer inseam 9 inches is good, but guys taller than six foot extra 2 inches would be the perfect length. i don't like scaring people with my white legs when i sit down!"

"Our department went with these for our Harbor Patrol and they are great. They dry fast when wet, comfortable and not as short as the Blauer. Although I would like to see maybe one more inch in the length of these they are still a superior product that do not ride high when you sit or squat down."

"The nylon version of these shorts have been the perfect short for me. They dry fast after water exposure and are very durable, when hiking and fishing. With their styling you can also wear them to dinner and feel dressed appropriately. Great value!"

"I bought a pair of these for use on bike patrol. They are great. I got them in the Nylon, because I have had a problem with fading with the black tac pants. So far the nylon black shorts have not faded. It's nice to have the same pockets in the same place as I usually have them when I wear the tac pants. It means that I don't have to think about where everything is bacuse I'm wearing a different pair of pants."

"This nylon fabric is tough, and the stitching is even stronger. I've worn these shorts through the toughest conditions without a mark or tear, and the dirt brushes right off.
The pockets are well placed, and the slash design makes it easy to access the rear pockets, even with a fully-loaded belt."

"I purchased these short for use during water patrol. It never fails that I get hit with a roller coming over the side to soak me at the waist area at some point during shift. In minutes these shorts are dry again. What I like the most is the functions matching the classic 5.11 tac-pants. (And we all have a pair of those, so you should have a pair of these if authorized to wear shorts.)"

"I was pleasantly surprised when receiving the package 5.11 Tactical. The 5.11 Tactical Shorts are the best shorts I have ever owned. I LOVE how side pockets located on the upper thigh keep your gear close to my body, while not feeling restrictive. The Slash pocket design also allows for easy access to things in my back pocket. Could not have asked for more."
