"Initially I feared buying these due to the comments by some and also the sizing chart being so askew. I ordered the pants anyway and they are a PERFECT fit!! They are 100% cotton and did shrink a little but nothing that is detrimental to the fit. Pockets are pretty deep and I didn't have to worry about anything falling out while on scene."

"I am going through EMT class and had to order this exact style pant. They are absolutely HORRIBLE! First, I had to order 2 sizes bigger than what I normally wear. Second, because I had to get a much bigger size, the inseam of the pants hang down much lower than it should, so they look unprofessional. Third, the waist of the pants go up past my belly button and we are expected to be able to tuck our shirts in. Please don't order these pants, they are absolutely horrible and you will regret it. Spend your money on a different pair."

"I have been wearing these pants for about 5 years. At first there were no problems in the sizing, but as time went on and I ordered more, problems arose. It had to do with WHERE the pants were made. I have three different sizes I wear. 6 from Cambodia, 8 from Hong Kong, and 10s from Vietnam. It has been frustrating having to send them back and exchange them and hope they come from the same Country I just tried on. I like the pants and wear them everyday (I am a canine handler so they take a beating) but I wish 5.11 would pick one country, preferable the USA, to make their clothing."

"I use these pants for IPSC/USPSA-style shooting. I love the pockets, as I can stow additional magazines for long or complex stages. Other pluses include comfort and durability. However, for petite women, the pants are a little bulky and heavy, especially when wet. Also the waist is loose, but perhaps I just need a smaller size! Overall, this pant works well in matches, but I would love to see this pant in a cotton/poly blend or nylon blend -- especially during the rainy season."

"My dispatch center just went with 511 tactical clothing. All the women dispatchers had to order at least 1 size larger than they normally wear. Personally I could not get the proper size as they do not go anything larger than women's Size `16 which is what I wear. Also the women's shirts do not come long sleeve. Pretty tough living in the northeast & unable to have a long sleeve shirt for the winter months. Haven't received my Women's XL shirt hope that fits because they do not make shirts in 2X for women. In the 21st century they should make womens clothes for larger women as lots of women in the Public sector are not a small size."

"These are great pants and I enjoy the fit on them better than having to wear the mens. However they need to add a size 18. For those of us with fuller hips the 16 just doesn't cut it."

One tough pair of pants

"These pants have served me well for years. Whether training or traveling they withstand the rigors of the field and still look darn good at the end of a day. The knee pads are one of the best features. Sometimes they gap at the waist even in the women's sizes but overall very well designed."

"As a women in law enforcment, a good pair of pants is hard to find. Finally, I found pants which are sized correctly, fit comfortable, and wear attractively! The cotton tactical pants do have a tendency to tear when worn hard and put away wet, but otherwise, they're a great product!"
