fantastic second skin

"Been using these almost exclusively since receiving them a few weeks ago. The tactile fingertip precision of the gloves is truly amazingly excellent, I can manipulate precision touch-sensitive electronics like an iPhone while wearing them, etc. They mold themselves to the creases in your fingers and form a thin, supple second skin you forget you almost forget you are wearing."

Good But....

"The glove works great as far as the tactile sense...you do feel every thing and it's nice to be able to use my in car PC and cell phone with out having to take them off. The gloves did rip on me after 2 months of hard use (due to the fact I may have order one size too small). However the "velcro" or what ever the material 511 is using is absolute garbage!! Does not stay secure (after about 2 weeks use) FIX THAT and you have a heck of a glove for the price."

Perfect Idea, Bad Execution

"I purchased this glove for everyday use about 4 months ago. The goat skin used for this glove allows you to feel everything and it's perfect for the range, on duty, or everyday. However, the craftsmanship comes up short. First of all, the index finger of my right glove is slightly larger than it's suppose to be and has the tendency to get caught in magazines while reloading. Just needs better quality control. Secondly, the velcro cuff started falling apart after only 2 weeks of usage. The rubber is glued on the velcro and the rubber is falling apart and all most completely non existent right now. Thirdly, the leather should've extended all the way over the thumb because the fabric around the thumb area is getting torn apart by the rough part of the velcro on my over gear. 5.11 should really increase the quality control and the design because it feels like a rough prototype. If 5.11 improves the velcro cuff, the leather over thumb, and better quality control, this would undoubtedly be the best glove I've ever owned. Hope this is helpful!"

Excellent for Hand to Hand

"I work in a field where most hostile interactions are hand to hand. Since I started wearing this glove my adversaries don't have chance. The second they swing at me I have them in the grip of the glove they can't pull away from. In the next few seconds they are cuffed and handed over to law enforcement. Very good product."
