Excellent cold weather gloves January 21, 2009
"If you're a soldier or a law enforcement officer who spends a lot of time outdoors in the cold, then you know just how difficult it is to do anything if you can't feel your fingers, and you can also appreciate a good pair of cold weather gloves when you find one. These are it. I bought a pair of these gloves because of the Primaloft lining. Primaloft is the synthetic equivalent of goosedown. The Army uses Primaloft to line its Modular Sleep System sleeping bags. It also lines my issued Gen III Loft Layer Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System Jacket. I'm a true believer in Primaloft's insulative properties. The Praetorian Patrol Gloves have the best warmth to dexterity ratio of any cold weather gloves I've ever worn. There is one drawback to these gloves, however. Because Primaloft lining consists of multiple layers, there is a slight sliding sensation between your fingers and the multiple layers of insulation and the shell. It's a little annoying at times, but nothing serious enough to keep me from wearing them or recommending them to anyone. The deerskin shell is soft, flexible, and durable, but should not be used to handle concertina wire or anything sharp."

Very Warm Gloves - Hard to Wear While Driving August 26, 2008
"The 5.11 Praetorian gloves are by far the warmest pair of gloves that I have ever tried.

I have only one complaint... they are very hard to wear while driving. The Primaloft makes a "slippery" sensation between the glove's leather shell and the internal liner of the glove.

These are excellent gloves to wear during traffic events when you are exposed to the cold weather. They are extremely warm."
