"I bought this watch 2 years ago for hunting and long range shooting. I was impressed from the start! All the data inputs are easily entered and easily changed if needed. The watch is extremely comfortable and durable. I gave all my other watches up for this one. I now where Field Ops watch to work and for everyday use. I still have the original (2 yrs old!) battery working fine! All the data matches up with the most currently available software. I used this tool to help me adjust my scope to make an accurate 750 yard shot!"

"I purchased the Field OPS version a couple of months ago. I am a target shooter and hunter. I first was a little sketchy about buying this watch, initailly thinking that it was a "gimmick" or something. As I looked into it deeper and realized that it uses well known software from a well known company, I was becomeing more certian that this watch was no gimmick.. I compared the software to a few other popular programs, inputing all the same settings, I always came up with the same readings, or extremely close to.. The one thing I wish it did have was different caliber memory slots so you could just switch between calibers easily, however this is not that big of a deal because ALL the settings are so easily changed and you only have to change the ones you kneed to. You can basically change all the settings of the ballistic software in a matter of seconds if needed. I think this is Ideal for the hunter that likes to shoot long range and wants to place the bullet accuratly. You can change the shooting angle/temp/altitude, on the fly, in seconds, which is needed for different terrain and all of which can effect the bullet severly. I also like the durability of the watch, it is from china but it is very Stout and well made..

"The Ballistic Calculator watch by 5.11 is extremely heavy duty and durable. The buttons are also durable and only depress when you press them; not like other watches that press whenever you lean against something. The Bezzel ring is far more durable and able to withstand more punishment than the Sunto or other competitors. I really like the added feature of being able to apply another band so the watch can be worn over tactical gloves.
The calculator technology coupled with the watch technology is out standing and can save any sniper or designated marksman a lot of time. I would have rated this product a 5; but I have not been able to see if this watch can withstand the test of time. Overall I rate this product a 4 of 5."

"Quick and short;
The watch is great, good functionality, fits nice, a little thick - could've been more lowprofiled, sureshot works great, compass works (good enough), light is ok. It annoys me a bit that it doesn't return to regular watchmode after being in alarmmode or such, but that's just me.
Only real downside I've found is that the Quickrelease on my band unsnaps A LOT! I've had my watch fall off inside my jacket whilst in the field - not good! Could've lost it a million times, only luck has kept me from losing it due to poor armband. Trying to get new band, but nowhere that'll ship to Norway;)"

"These days, there are so many decisions to make before you choose to purchase a new digital Watch. It’s hard to choose what's right for your needs until you had the opportunity to use one in action. . How many Watches do you really need? Well, I have been so happy with Field Ops Watch from 5.11 that I no longer need to keep searching for that right one! In my line of work I don't have time to second guess so, every tool I use I have to have trust in the product and it’s dependability and the 5.11 Field Ops Watch has proven to me many times over and over to being dependable and tough . I wish there was more to say but the watch speaks for itself. Good luck and be safe!!"

"The watch has all the neat features for a shooter easy to use once you enter all data. The only problem is the band too stiff hard to remove. I know that 5.11 can make a web band for this unit. I know a company that makes it for the G-shock so its possible....."

"This is a great watch! It's excellent for outdoor use and hunting. The only downfall is like the guy said above the wristband is kind of a pain. When I was in the shower it just fell off and broke but the watch itself is definitely a 5 out of 5."

"This watch is fine except for the band. The quick release on mine does not have enough tension. I dove into the lake the other day and it popped off. I managed to find it after I put my scuba gear on. I wear it loosely and then just wearing it to work the other day it just popped off again. Just be careful or you could lose it. With an upcoming deployement (again) I was planning on utilizing this watch on my wrist but I may just put it in my ruck"
