"Back in Jan at the SHOT Show in FL I was given a sample pair. Unfortunately 1 was the 6" and 1 was the 9" but I didn't know until I went into the field in Cameroon. Regardless, fit was tight and right...for 4 straight days. I got stuck on a bath-less 4 day'er into the jungle and these were pushed to the limit. Kept my feet dry and in perfect shape. Just washed them yesterday and they are ready to go again. No tears, no stretches. I won't buy another brand, these are it!"

Nice socks, if you don't have large calfs.

"These are nicely made socks, but the top area of the foot is very thin on the Level I. If the tongues of your boots or shoes bother you, you may not like these. Personally, they are to thin overall for me. Also, I have large calfs, and these are very tight (not uncomfortable) and don't stay up. Depending on your preference, I would try one of the other styles. I think I will try the 9" level II, hopefully they will work better."

"The socks are extremely comfy; I wear them with boots. I like the padding. Fit: They fit snugly, but I have size 13 feet...for me, "One size fits all" doesn't fly...I wish 5.11'd offer an XL size. Durability: My big beef is I just tore the upper on the second day wearing a new pair...the fabric catches and tears too easily for a sock with this pricetag. Although I love the comfort, I will think twice about buying another pair. (But then probably still will)."

"These socks are great for firefighting! I've tried extra thick cotton socks in the past but these are much better. My feet slide into my bunker boots easily with these socks and they dry quickly too. They are much more durable than regular socks."

"These socks keep your feet cool in the hot summer and are very comfortable. They stay up and the design supports your feet throughout the day. I prefer the Level 2 socks becuase they have more cushion but I recommend these also."

"I have been wearing these socks in conjunction with 5.11's Sleet 6" Waterproof Boot and the comfort is amazing. The added padding of these socks makes a huge difference over non padded socks. I have had these socks for over 7 months and they still don't have a single tear. I highly recommend these socks to anyone!"
