Problem Fit For Shorter Officers

"Great vest (see other reviews), however, be aware that shorter officers will have a problem fit if the vest is to be worn between the body and sidearm. The vest is too long. We purchased vests for 95 officers, 10 of which complain of the vest riding too low, even when the shoulder adjustment is fully utilized."

"I bought this vest to use while serving on a multi-jursidictional task force because my agency doesn't supply us with anything but the basics. It was easy to adjust to fit my long and wide torso and the nylon belt keepers I added worked great once I got them on (the slots to put them thru are a little narrow, so I wouls suggest velco belt keepers, but i did manage to get my snaps thru). I wore it in the heat and rain and it worked beautiflly. I wasn't hot and didn't geat heavy from the moisture. The slick stick system is awesome and you can also use any molle suitable attachments. I was nice to be able to put all my gear on the vest and take the weight off my pants, which for once didn't slide down while chasing the bad guys! I plan on using this vest while working the range, because we know how hot (or cold)it can be out there, and it is adjustable enough to put several layers underneath plus my armor. Thanks for a great product!"

"Just as the title says. I am a new SWAT medic and was handed down old gear that was torn and faded. I spoke with team members and other medics and I have to say this was the best one I could find. Functionality is awesome. The only thing that I thing that I think should be changed is it should come with straps to secure to your belt."

"Great vest, very light and breatheable, as advertised. Highly recommendable for those that need lots of room for attachments but want to stay light and mobile. The only issues I had with the vest were quickly solved with a little ingenuity. I rigged up my own belt keepers and used a couple of zip ties to better secure my hydration pouch. Other than that, nothing but praise for this great piece of kit. Almost 2 months of hard use, and very little sign of wear. Outstanding!"

"Bought this vest 6 months ago becuse I couldn't find a way to carry what I needed in the field, nad not fry in the process. THe open mesh design is great! Unlike previous systems I had experimented with, the all-over attachments are a godsend. I use a healthy mix of different accessories to fit my needs and have garnered more than a few compliments from my peers on my rig. The only problem I have experienced is the webbing pulling out from the anchor stitching at the zipper. Easy fix for me, but you may want to beef it up a bit."

"This vest is great. I'm wearing it as I write this from the sandbox. For those of you who are thrown off for the lack of attachment straps, go get some over at OriginalSOEgear.com and you're golden. This vest has more than enough MOLLE webbing which is VERY useful."

"Great value, $100 cheaper than competitor, but I have a couple of suggestions. First, am I supposed to use 550 cord to attach the vest to a belt or are you guys going to offer attachment straps at some point? Second, the interior pockets could be trusted with smaller/valuable items if they secured with a zipper rather than velcro, but at $100 savings, I can make the sacrifice if you could throw me some straps. Overall, it's a great vest."

"This vest disappointed me. It does have molle out the butt, but the size is slightly too big. I have adjusted it all the way and it is still too big. I'm not fat, but I'm not not skinny. The mesh is a little stiff, but it does "break in". overall, it's ok, but I would like to see it improved for the fit. other than that, i think a larger person would have no problems."

"Overall a good product, I got this to demo it and I like the large plate carrier better (better suits my needs). It's pretty solid and adjust farily well. I would recomend the larger size if your a solid guy or gal. The mesh is durable and its held up very well for moderate use. I would like to see it in OD along with all your tactical nylon line."

"The vest has PLENTY of molle webbing, unlike some vests. The velcro spots are handy for identifications. The downfalls are that I'm not sure how to attach a web belt to the attachment points, and the vest is slightly too large for my size. The vest cant be comfortably adjusted to fit a smaller person, as I have maxed out the adjustments. I believe a person with a larger size would have no problem with the fit. Overall a good value and a decent vest."

Great vest

"I have been using this vest for awhile now and I really like the way it fits. It is really easy to adjust the sizing if you are goinging to wear it over your uniform or over your winter jacket. The vest being all mesh makes it breathable and with a hydration pack thrown into the back pouch you can wear it all day and be comfortable. The ability to quickly change the pouches is very nice, I can change the pouches to fit the detail I am working."
