"I have used this bag for every day I'm on duty for about eight months now. Very tough bag, durable and practical. Also, professional looking and no one would guess that you have a bag that's ready for the battle to win and go home.
It stashes away everything I need to complete my tour from my work laptop, chem lights, (personal) quick clot trauma bag, medical supplies, department forms, spare sunglasses, Nalgene water bottle, extra cuffs, extra slugs, spare handgun and magazines.
Off duty travel is just as easy, I dump the laptop and department forms, throw in a pair of 5.11 Taclite shorts and pants, a set of shirts and other necessities. I'm good to go."

"Let me begin by stating that I hate shopping, hate throwing my hard-earned money away on poorly made, overpriced garbage, and having to deal with returning said items. So imagine my surprise when I received my Side Trip Briefcase and discovered it was everything I wanted, and more! FINALLY, I've found the motherload of well-made gear. "Great purchase especially for the cost. Have really had no qualms w/ it. I use mine as a portable office & concealed carry platform. Additional note: the side water bottle pockets have a slot on the inside to store excess gear too (map, back up mag, etc..). It comfortably fits files, two dictionaries, laptop & power cord, pens, highlighters, staplers, index cards, pad of paper, pistol & mags... with plenty of room to spare. A must for anyone always on the go or if they have to carry a side arm for a living."

"Excellent bag, really multi-functional and well worth the cost. Design is really good, and quality excellent. Recommend for office, travel, tactical or anything else works pretty well. "Great bag, I was able to empty the two different brief cases I used into this one bag. I recently took it on a trip with me & found it to be very compact. Now to make the bag better, 5.11 could re-design the bag's luggage handle velcro retaining strap to a full length center nylon piece with sewn edges on either side and possibly a strong magnut sewn into the center, rather then velcro. The present velcro strip is flimsey & wasn't strong enough to hold the bag in place, it kept shifting from side to side. In reference to the velcro concealment section, I feel this also needs a little re-designing. The overall concept is great, but the velcro section is hard to open & close, especially when you put heavy equipment in the section, like a gun & mags. I would try to place plastic inserts on either side of the enclosure & add a plastic pull, simular to the pulls located on the zippers, in between the two nylon pull taps presently sewn into the bag. With those two imporvements 5.11 would have an outstanding product & be way ahead of their competitors."

"This is one very tough bag. I've used it regularly every day for almost a year and found it to be almost indestructable. It's my briefcase, mini-range bag, sometimes carry-on, bug-out bag and my all-around carry tote for stuff I don't want to forget. It's become a part of my daily routine and I'm not sure where I used to put all the stuff it now carries. Size is perfect, not gigantic but big enough."

"Worth the extra dollars! I have had this briefcase for a year and it is showing no signs of wear. I used to replace work bags/briefcases every six months. The only problem is that it is too roomy and I overpack it...LOL. Great for Laptop, gear, files, side pockets for adapters, flashlights. You can fit your whole desk in this thing if you have to."

"An excellent work bag. The main pouch is roomy and easy to access with the dual zippers. Velcro pocket is perfect for carring my firearm to and from work. Side pouches actually fit a large camelbak water bottle. Bag is comfortable to carry and the perfect size for a work briefcase."
