At Long Last..Worth the Wait

"I know 5.11 has been back to the drawing board a few times and some initial production delays/issues with this light. As a self professed flashaholic I must confess that I am quite pleased with the Light for Life unit.
I have had the unit about a month now and still have a hard time putting it down. Performance and run time are true to spec. Unit runs cool and doesn't become a 'hand warmer'. Fit and finish were definitely in mind in its design.
Its so nice to be able to charge up the unit in 90 seconds and away you go again.
My only disappointment, if you could call it that, is that you have to hold down the button to maintain high output.. Maybe that's why it runs so cool?"

"I haven't had it long but I do like the bright light and fast charge time. I have already had some comments about how bright it is shining into there cars, which I like. The only thing I have noticed is it seems to go into emergency light mode sooner than I would expect. But, it recharges in 90 seconds so it's not a big deal. I wouldn't go far with out a car charger though."

"The charge time of this flashlight is super quick and it really takes a long time for the juice to run out. I was amazed at the power output compared to the charge time, and while you cannot focus the beam like the traditional Mag light, the 270 lumens lights will certainly light up the night. Overall I am very impressed with the product."

Great Light

"I have had my light for over a week now. Works just like advertised. Charges in less than 2 minutes. Lighter than a 3 cell mag light. It is plenty bright. The charge only lasts a little over an hour and then the light slowly starts to dim. After it starts to dim you can not use 240 lumin mode. The light was left "on" two hours before it completely shut down. It is nice that it dims and does not just shut off (sure fire) as the charge gets low. Overall I am very pleased with the light. Has been sittin for two days now to check and see how long the charge will hold before it bleads down. Still glows strong."

Just What I Needed

"I'm a Highway Patrol Officer who works nights. The first time I saw the brightness and width of the beam in front of me I got a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. The first time I used it against window tint I became giddy. I couldn't believe the way it lit up the passenger compartment as though the tint wasn't even there.
It's wider than my other lights but that's ok it comes with a bigger ring.
I have to hold down the (very light) button to maintain the peak lumens but that's ok, 90 is bright enough for most things.
The strobe feature is great for getting the attention of drivers during traffic control.
One last thing 90 SECOND recharge."

"Have for years used a flashlight famous for its sturdy magnesium shell. The only thing is that you can't set it down on any sort of smooth surface without having the thing roll off somewhere. The Light for Life's hexagonal bezel allows me to turn it on and place it on my dash or vehicle hood for hands free illumination. (It also stays put on my nightstand instead of rolling off onto the floor and under the bed!)"

great light

"Had flashlight for just a weekend. Worked great. Power failure at the house first night. Kids loved it. Neighbors jealous. Can't wait to get it back. Only change I would like to see is the off on button for high power use. Hated holding it down. Weight was a big plus. Other flashlights I have weigh twice as much."
