What a disappointment! April 2, 2009
"First I will say that I have been impressed with this company in the past and I still love, use currently (and want) some of the bags and gun bags. My Department uses the class b uniforms as regular patrol uniforms (and the quality on those have gone down to, but that's a different review.

So I see this knife and think "oh wow, a karambit at a price an officer can actually buy." So I buy this "made in the U.S.A." knife and discover that the materials are made in Tiawan, it is just put together in the U.S. or at least that is what the lady at customer service tells me. I write this off as a learning experience and start carrying the knife on duty. I carry it for two weeks and have to tighten the little star screws on the clip, because it is extremely loose. I carry it for another two weeks and have to search the inside of the squad car for TWO of the little screws for the clip. This is not an easy task in a Police Charger and the center console installed. I finally find the two little screws, thank God for good eyesight and a bright flashlght. I RE-tighten the little screws for the third time, carry it for three more days and loose the screws altogether. Now I have knife that I can't carry or not in the way that it is intended and a worthless little clip. What a disappointment.

Super karambit for the money!!! September 14, 2008
"I own both the Journeyman and Master's model 5.11 Tactical karambits. I carry the Journeyman model almost every day. I have had zero problems with blade rust. The lock-up is reliable. Overall I prefer the lighter weight of the Journeyman model over the Masters but the Masters model is top notch in every respect. The 154CM blade on the Journeyman seems to come a little sharper from the factory and is easier to sharpen than the S30V.
Both 5.11 karambits are well worth the money.

Blade Rust August 27, 2008
"Bought this knife as an everyday duty knife to carry as a backup weapon. Noticed the blade beginning to rust almost immediately. Nice design, but so far not impressed with quality."
