Suggestions for Improvement
July 10, 2009
"Excellent shirt, very comfortable and durable. However, a few suggestions for improvement:
1. The long sleeve cuffs are too small, difficult to view watch when needed. 2. Need to insure the button holes are sewed competly by "quality control", when trying to unbotton shirt, they get snagged. 3. I use a palm body mike that attaches to my lapel. It would be nice if the shirts were made with a small (sewed) opening in the sides of the shirts to run the radio attachment through, instead of having to run it along the waistband."

"I purchased two of these shirts at our local supplier. I ride Police motorcycle escorts as a side job. These shirts are constantly exposed to the elements. I find them to be roomy, durable and cool; as in NOT HOT, S.Texas being S.Texas, we have 3 seasons, Warm, Hot and HOT,HOT, HOT!! Anyway, I had an issue with a shirt as a result of some fading. I called the 5.11 customer service and immediately got first class treatment from the rep. With a statement of the problem and without a bunch of questions, she issued a return # and told me she would send a shiiping bill so I did not have to pay for the return shipping, great. What I did not expect was separately; I recieved a "handwritten" note from Ashley A. thanking me for purchasing their product, and also hoping that the return experience was satisfying and finally reassuring that the folks at 5.11 are interested in producing quality gear for the professional folks that use them. I was blown away. Who in this time cares enough to personalize customer experience. A handwritten note? Unbelievable. I've kept it, shown it to other officers I work with and made a copy of it for our Lt. and Capt. I am so impressed by this act of professional kindness on the part of Ashley A. that I just had to post it on the review. So, if you have a problem with any 5.11 gear, call customer service and they will make it right. That's enough for me to be a loyal customer. The attached photograph is of a Funeral for a Fallen Soldier that we escorted to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas. Over the past 7 years, we have done so many of these. This young man was 22,thank God people like him exist to step into harm's way. Rest in Peace!"
