Comfortable, smart - best polo shirt in my closet

"As with other reviews I have written, I must make clear that I am not in law enforcement. I am a documentary producer and photographer, and, as such, need apparel that is just as strong, reliable, and dependable, as law enforcement and military personnel. One thing about shirts is that I always have camera straps draped over the shoulders and, with most shirts, those straps can really mess things up on the shirt, and be extremely uncomfortable.
But based on my experience with other 5.11 equipment, all of which has become a real asset to my job, I decided to try out the professional polo.
This is THE most comfortable, smart, and durable polo shirt I have ever owned. It remains cool even in black), has subtle but distinctive design elements (collar, pen pocket), and sits well on my shoulders whether I am wearing a heavy pack (Rush 24), or a variety of camera straps.
It washes up very well, coming out almost with no ironing required, and it shakes out from a suitcase after several hours in transit.
There is no binding on the arms, when you are stretching around, and despite 100 degree heat, the shirt never clung to me - it always felt cool and comfortable.
No doubt, I will be buying more of these soon!"

"I bought this shirt to wear while attending classroom trainings and meetings at the office. This shirt exceeded my standers. I customized this idem by uploading my department’s shoulder patch into 5.11’s database. 5.11 did an OUTSTANDING job duplicated this patch. I was so impressed with 5.11s ability to make my product look so professional. I have since found that the durability of this product makes it so it can be worn in active physical training as well. This shirt will stand up to anything you can throw at it. My co-workers have since seen me wearing this shirt and now wants one of their own. If you are looking for a new shirt buy this one it is a GREAT buy. I would also recommend customizing it too, 5.11 can do miracles making your shirt look like one of a kind. I have been in law enforcement for about 4 years and I’ve never had or heard of anyone having a bad experience with 5.11, which must mean this company wants to have a great relationship with their customers. I with great pride recommend this shirt to all of my co-worker, friends and just anyone who will listen. BUY THE SHIRT, YOU WON’T BE DISSAPOINTED, I GUARANTEE IT!!!"

"We have been using polo type shirts for about 14 years. We tried almost every type of polo from cheap to very expensive but none of them would last. They all faded fast, developed holes and the collars always rolled. One of my full time guys came back from Irag after serving in a security role at the US embassy. He showed me a 5.11 polo that he had been wearing under his turnout gear for over a year and it was still in good shape. We switched to the professional polo and the life of our shirts have tripled over what they were before. Even when we replace them the collar is still in shape. I dont think we will ever leave 5.11."

"The 5.11 Polo is one of the best shirts that I have ever purchased. Recently my agency adopted the grey polo as an optional wear item for our K-9 and ATV units due to the exceptional quality and value of the 5.11 brand. These shirts maintain their color thru repeated washings, and the collars do not roll or lose their shape. I have several shirts in different colors and continue to buy more. I highly reccommend them for both on and off duty use!"

"I purchased a black professional polo this past spring. I was initally very impressed with the crisp apperance and the 'talk' back up the shirt. I wore it many times, and it quickly became a favorite. However, I recently pulled the shirt from my closet for use and noticed that the shirt had noticably faded after only a few months of light use and 'as directed' washes.
Now, the shirt has faded, except for one spot, which has remained color fast (about the size of a half-dollar); the shirt now resides in a forgotten drawer, ready to be replaced. While I enjoy using may 5.11 products, I will not be wasting money on the Professional Polos again."

Best of a crowded field of uniform polos

"For our summer alternative uniform shirts my employer picked another companies grey polos. As a faithful tactical white shirt 5.11 user, I did not purchase their shirts. These are sharp, seem to be better tailored than our other brands and have a unique pen holder on the left arm. I have to say working as a medic I put my uniforms through a multitude of junk. These keep me cool and looking professional."

Great Embroidery, but too big

"The embroidery done on my shirt was excellent. 5.11 took my design and made a great looking design on my shirt. The only problem is that it cam out way too big. It is difficult to tell how big the logo will turn out from the picture from the order site. Especially, when you are serving overseas. Overall, my design needs to be 2/3 the size. This purchase was a test purchase before other members of my organization placed their orders."

"Excellent shirts. I own 5 Professional Polos and 1 Tactical Polo. The collars are second to none the way they stay down all day. These shirts are extremely comfortable, look good tucked in or left out and the pen pockets are very useful. I have basically stopped wearing my t-shirts and find myself wearing my 5.11 Polo shirts almost every day."
