"Bought the "Midnight-blue" 511 tactical shirt. I love these shirts, but the midnight blue color is black, or they sent me the wrong shirt. I sent them an email abou tit questioning the color, but never received a response. I love the shirts and will continue to buy them, but the midnight blue is black. No difference in the black ones I own."

"I love these shirts, just make sure if you are in the military, you get the "ACU tan" ones. The "tan" color is inbetween brown and ACU Sand. Other than that, they rock!"

Good Shirt, But Be Gentle. March 4, 2009
"I bought three of these t-shirts for my backpacking trek across Eastern Europe. I wanted to avoid the laundromat as much as possible, so the anti-microbial treatment sold me. I did have my doubts as from my experience polyester always stinks. To my surprise these shirts never did - even after wearing them for a couple days and dealing with temperatures in the 90's. I was amazed. They were easy to launder in a sink and dried extremely fast. Unfortunately they are rather delicate. After wearing them casually for my trip, I developed a run in one of them while at the beach. I am unsure if I would buy them again."

No More Cotton! January 3, 2009
"I've always been against Polyester...since it's always refrenced as a fabric of the 70's. After being issued these shirts with my bullet proof vest I now take back my negative thoughts on the fabric. These shirts are great under shirts to wear on and off duty. Very breathable esspecialy during the HOTT 120 degree humid days we have here. I found that sweating with these shirts not only did It seem cool but they would dry very fast. When it's time to wash these I wash them in the washer then hang them to dry after the wash (Or when in a hurry just put it on straight out of the washer). No need to put in the dryer. HIGHLY RECOMENDED, well worth the price."

"In some areas of Hawaii short duration rain showers are common--often by the time you get out the rain gear its stopped. These shirts are great because they dry quickly after a short rain shower and breathe well even after the increase in humidity."

"While serving during Hurricane Gustav, for Evac and Rescue/Recovery, I used this undershirt to keep cool and dry. I was amazed that I was able to wear 2 shirts when the heat index was upward of 110F, with the humidity. 5.11 has made a customer for life, and got some free advertising. Everyone that I encountered asked how I was not sweating through my gear. This shirt performed as expected and described."

"I work in plain clothes wearing 511 pants and loose fit crews. I'm in and out of a tactical vest several times a day. Even in the hot and humid south, this shirt feels great, even drenched in sweat. Any kind of breeze is cool and refreshing, and it dries quickly also so I'm not soaked for a long time like cotton shirts. These shirts are a must for me."

"Wow, I couldn't believe how light this shirt was. I think the tag hanging from the sleeve weighed more! The mesh underarm is awesome! It took the moisture away quickly since it is very humid in our facility it is truly awesome!"

Perfect for the hot climate August 27, 2008
"I live and work in Bakersfield, CA where the temperature gets into the 100's every summer. I purchased 5 shirt last year and what a difference in comfort compared to a cotton T-shirt. I feel much cooler in this shirt and even when I sweat, I am able to cool back down rather quickly. I will never go back to wearing cotton shirts under my uniform again. Well worth every penny."

"I love the loose fit crew shirts for wear under my body armor. They transport and do not retain moisture. A big improvement over the cotton undershirts that I used to wear. The mesh underarms are one of the best features and keep me cooler than other similar shirts. They hold up well to repeated washings and are better priced than other similar shirts."

Terrific moisture wicking properties! August 27, 2008
"I will be the first to admit that I am one sweaty guy! I mean I sweat a lot....and I hate the way cotton shirts stick and feel so heavy when wet. So I decided to try the loose fit Shirt. It is perhaps the greatest invention for sweaty guys since deodorant!! I wear this for working out, working in the yard, for Airsoft-ing, and it is awesome! Very light weight, very comfortable, good fit, very good moisture wicking properties.
The stitching is solid, there is no annoying 'tag' to irritate the skin (the size and company info is printed on the inside of the shirt), and there is a decent amount of 'loose' room for added mobility (doesn't feel constricting). Terrific for any activity.
I will definitely pick up a few more of these!"

"I wear the crew shirts under my body armor. The comfort and fitting is great. The crew shirt is much more comfortable then wear a t-shirt under my body armor. They also make geart workout shirt for the gym. Very durable shirts."
