Solid out of the box boot

"I recently ordered these boots as my first 5.11 boot purchase. I received them quickly and was very happy with the look of the boot.
I planned on wearing them a few times to break them in before really putting them to the test. Our SWAT team had an upcoming training where basic room entry drills were scheduled and was going to be more of a core mechanics day rather than a physically demanding training. I thought this would be a good opportunity to start breaking them in.
I literally put them on for the first time, made sure they fit, and went to training. I got to training and was told we were having a surprise obstacle course qualification that morning. I was sure my feet were going to be destroyed by the end of the day. I was actually surprised that the boot was very comfortable out of the box and treated my feet well through the obstacle course and the rest of the training day. They offered great support and comfort and I stopped worrying about my feet and was able to concentrate on the training that day. I'm very happy with these boots and would definitely recommend them."

"I bought these boots in Coyote because my wife tells me "everything you own is black!". When I put them on I was amazed at how they felt. The lacing system works great and is a great addition to the already wonderful construction. I went on a hike and decided to run for a distance. Before I knew it I was at the end of my hike about 4 miles and had run the entire way. I had no blisters or any other disconfort. I would highly recomend these."

"Very light boot love that they never come loose even when untied. feels like I shoved my foot in a pillow.Purchased this boot maybe 2 months ago wore em in pretty quick way better than what I was issued.
Only problem is one of them is starting to tear on the outside."

"I bought these boots because the first pair of them I wore out after two years. These are by far one the most long lasting and comfortable boots from day one. The first pair was flawless, however the second pair did have a flaw in the toe where it stuck up too much and it's uncomfortable to my toe, however I fixed that with some carbon fiber inserts that go under the insole and now they are just as amazing as the first pair. I would recommend these boots to anyone that does alot of work on your feet. You can count on me getting a third and probably fourth pair of these unless something better from 5.11 comes out that the military will allow us to wear."

"Very comfortable Boots. Good weight distribution and nice fitting. The exterior breathing valve came off after the first month of use. Then the interior and the shoe lace begins to break down after about 3 months of moderate use. Shoe lace holder starts to rip after about 5 months. After 6 months outside of the boot starts to rip. Good boot for short term use. Very pricy for its poor durability! Buy it if you have the money, and want a pair of very comfortable "disposible boots"."

"I just received these boots today from fed-ex, and I am astounded!
The quality of the shipping and care put into the packaging was something not seen very often. The boots were in a nice black box with chrome 5.11 insignia's, sharp box!
The boots are amazingly comfortable, more comfortable than my Nike Shox. The grip on the soles are quite amazing, and you can stop on a dime. I tried out the kick toe and it is a great addition to the boot. Its not heavy but protects your toes from everything in your way. The quality is astounding on the stitching and contruction.
Boots are light, great to run in (better than my running shoes) and a great outdoor boot.
If you have the cash get the boot! its well worth every cent."

"These boots are by far the best boot I've ever bought. I'm about 300 pounds and have developed heel pain in my left foot from being heavy. My shoes usually wear out within a few months. These boots are about a year old now and I have yet to have any foot pain. I can walk 4-5 miles in these boots and the next day my feet feel fine. On the negative side- shoe strings are wearing through at about the year mark.(with everyday wear)Get an extra pair of shoe strings if you plan on wearing them everyday. Other than that its a good investment for any heavy man's feet!"

Really Light Weight Boots

"Boots are light weight, uncomfortable until broke in but this doesn't take long. Build quality is good, ankle support is awesome. Good ventilation for boots worn 17 + hours a day. Recommend anyone purchasing that have high arches, get inserts."
