"My husband and I both work in EMS and we both wear these boots. I absolutely love these boots. I'm on my 2nd pair and need to get another soon. Each pair has only lasted us about a year, but they are comfortable for our 12-hour shifts. They are pretty weather-proof and clean up nicely. I would recommend getting a different insole after wearing for a few months, that seemed to be the one thing that wore out pretty quickly. I have high arches and had to find a suitable replacement for the stock one. Other than that, I have no complaints. We look forward to many more years of wearing these!"

"Ive been wearing 5.11 boots for over 6 years now, and until recently I worked security in Palm Beach Co., FL.
My first 2 pairs I replaced after 1 1/2 years, the 3rd pair I've been wearing for over 2 years now. They STILL have decent tread on the bottoms and all 3 pair I wear daily even outside of work.
The best boot I have found to date.
I'd rate their durability up with Doc Martens."

"When they wrote that these boots are as light as running shoes I didn't believe them. When they arrived I tested it using my light running shoes. I was right, the boots are heavier, HA! but only barely. That is unbelievable considering that is a full boot compared to a ultra light shoe (that is missing parts of it's sole at that). These boots are the most comfortable, tough, convenient, quiet boots I have ever seen. A must-have for anyone who is on their feet a lot."

"I've been wearing boots for eleven years on the job, plus the academy. I have never had a pair that didn't make my feet uncomfortable on the first day (a ten hour shift), until now. It's like they were broken in for me. They stay snug w/ the side zip, and even at an accident scene for over an hour in the pouring down rain of Hurricane Gustuv, no problems w/ the waterproofing. I am reccomending them to all my fellow officers. The 5.11 rep. was at the store when I purchased them and was a great help in determining which 5.11 boot to get. Keep up the quality products, I have many of them and rate them all excellent."

"These have to be some of the best boots I have ever worn. Several of my buddies got the same boots after they saw how well mine performed. Here’s why: · They still look great after a year. They have great traction on all kinds of terrain, including slippery surfaces. · The “shock mitigation system” keeps my knees and lower back from hurting when on my feet all day. They are comfortable when standing, walking, running, crouching, or rappelling out of a helicopter. · The anti-microbial feature keeps them from getting stinky—no matter how hot and sweaty I get, I just take them off and let them dry, and they’re good the next time I need to wear them! Even after regular use, they don’t stink. · I also really like the secret pocket, for small tools, notes, etc. —I have kept a lock-blade knife in one boot since I bought the boots, and it’s so comfortable that I used to forget it was there. But when I’m kneeling or crouching and I need a knife, it sure is handy."

"I personally own 4 pair of the ATAC boots. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Comfortable from the start, very durable with great features. Right out of the box I went on a 7 mile urban escort detail, no blisters or hot spots when I finially took them off. I have done everything from fast rope rappels to walking on concrete for 12 plus hours. All day comfort and great support."

"1st and foremost they are comfortable boots, 2nd the side zip allows easy on and off, 3rd have been durable over 1.5 years and clean easily, 4th i actually bought an extra pair and put them in my locker for future use because i was so sold on the product. 5th the side pocket will hold a note or file number when you need to secure the information 6th overall boots have been excellent performers and will purchase 3rd pair when the 2nd pair come out of locker"

"I have had 2 pair of the ATAC now and loved them both. The only thing is that they start to fall apart after a year and cannot be re-soled. This is okay in my case because I get a new pair every year from my agency. These boot are very comfortable and I have even run over 1.5 miles in them on a training run with no foot pain."

"THE OVERALL DESIGN OF THIS BOOT IS GREAT ON PAPER (SIDEZIP MAKES IT EASY TO PUT ON) AND THE CONFORT WAS GREAT BUT THE BOOTS DID NOT LAST ONE YEAR. THE SOLE STARTED TO SEPERATE FROM THE BOOT ON THE TOP BY THE TOES. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOTS TO ANYONE NO MATTER THE PRICE...SAVE YOUR MONEY."
