Best Boots Ever!

"I am an avid hunter and one who enjoys the outdoors. I recently purchased the HRT Urbans from Fit-4-Duty in Lehi, UT and they are amazing. I hiked over 10 miles in one day while hunting and my feet felt great both during the hike as well as after. I love how light weight they are and how they flex with your feet so that you are able to get a good grip while hiking and climbing over rocks. I had to keep reminding myself that I was wearing boots and not lightweight running shoes. They are awesome. I look forward to purchasing more of the 511 brand from Fit-4-Duty in Utah."

Decent, not worth the money

"Hands down, the comfort was great. but that's about all the boots had going for them. Over the last year I usually worked 4/10s, and they were comfortable for the whole shift, but 2 months short of a year the rubber toe started to crack both on the inside and outside of both boots, exposing my socks to the elements."

"I bought these for winter use and also for hunting. This past winter in ND was worst on record for a long time and these worked flawless. The only thing I did wrong was buy a 1/2 size bigger than my shoe size. They still work fine, but buying bigger is not needed. Buy the shoe size you wear. You will not be disappointed in these boots. 511 is great to work with too."

"These boots are by far the best boots that I have ever had. Really they feel like I’m wearing athletic shoes and not boots. They wear well and when they say that they are water proof they mean it. I have been in drainage tunnels walking through ankle deep water in pursuit of suspects and my feet stayed very much dry. I could not believe it. The 5.11 HRT Urban Boots are the best boot in my opinion on the market today!!!! A must for any Officer on the streets!!!"

"these are probably the most comfortable boots ive ever owned. but like some of the reviewers i had problems with the leather cracking all the way through. my last pair only made it four months. ive been through 2 pairs of the atacs and three of these. ive had other brands that have lasted over 5 years and just needed new soles. i figured id get better for $170. 511 was great with replacing them but its just not worth the hassle. Also like someone else said, i love everything 511 makes, but thier boots are suspect."

Good Boots

"My HRT's are about 2 years old. Prior to this pair, I went through two pair of Oakley Assault boots. So I was looking for something similar when I found these. The HRT's were hands down better than anything else I've had and well worth the extra money. They are comfortable after 10-12 hours on patrol. They are comfortable to run, drive, walk, stand, kneel and shoot in. The front end and inside heel of the boots resists common scuffing, so you can really work in these boots without worrying about them failing an inspection. They don't need traditional polishing but a Kiwi Shine Sponge will keep everything looking new. I will definately buy another pair of these when this pair finally gives out!
If you are looking for a boot that is easy to care for, a good value, comfortable and functional...this will make a great choice."

"These boots are very comfortable, even after a 12hr shift. The quality of these boots are very poor. Ive owed three pairs, the first two were replaced under warranty, but the last pair was exactly 12 months old and 511 sent them back and said it was not covered because its "normal wear" All three boots had the same problem- the rubber material over the toes cracks all the way through and allows water to soak your feet. Normal wear that last a year and cost 169.00 per year..."

"I am currently retired after 23 in law enforcement. The last 6 years I was attached to the local SWAT team. The HRT is the best all around boot that I have found. I would like to make one recommendation. The material that the soles are made of tend to click when walking on hard flooring (cement, tile etc..). if you could come up with a sole material that was quieter it would be great."

"I have had these boots for about two years. They have seen nightly duty on patrol. I love the fit and weight. I also like the no polish toe, I had enough of spit-polishing boots in the Army! Overall these are a great sturdy boot for patrol duty. I work in FL so I can't rate them for cold weather/"

"These boots have been wonderful for pounding my floors that are mainly concrete here in the prison. The shock system is perfect for this environment. I can stand all night and my feet aren't killing me at the end of 16 hours. They look great with a pair of 5.11 tactical pants and they keep you dry when the fire sprinklers are broken off."

Solid, Comfortable Boots

"I have been using a pair of HRT boots for almost a year now, without any real problems. They have held up well to all the abuse I have given them, including everything from kicking in doors to 12-mile runs. They are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time (24+ hours), and are very lightweight.
The quality of construction is very good--the only issue I have encountered so far is that some of the stitching has begin to come out near the ankle, but it doesn't seem to be serious. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the performance and durability of my boots. I would not recommend them for either extended hot weather or maritime operations, however, as they are fairly well insulated and do not have any drain vents."

"After going through two pairs of the ATAC boots under warranty, the traded me up to the HRT and for the first 10 months I was very happy with them. They are the most comfortable boots Ive worn (sometimes for 18 hrs +) and never had any issues, even was recommending them. Then after about ten months while running through a wet field with my K9, I found my feet wet. The rubber around the toe area had (looked like) dry- rotted and cracked. The store gave me a new pair(that was last October) well what do you know, the second pair is now showing signs of cracking on the rubber on the front covering the top of the boot(where the crease is from bending your foot). Its sad for the money that the boot doesnt last a year and if this quality issue was fixed, very comfortable boot. It suprises me becuse I wear 511 from head to toe on & off duty and all other products hold up and I would reccomend any other 511 products except the footware."

"These are the MOST comfortable boots that I have EVER worn! Unfortunately, they only last about a year(for patrol work). The rubber on the front wears out and tears. I just ordered another pair , though, beacause of the comfort!"
